Cervical cancer is the easiest female cancer to prevent. Yet, it is the second most common cancer in Nigeria.
There are three main types of cervical screening tests.
1. The Pap test (or Pap smear)
2. The VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid)
3. The HPV test
These tests help find pre-cancers which are cell changes on the cervix that might become cervical cancer if they are not treated appropriately.
Cervical screening tests are painless procedures that usually take all of 5 minutes!
