An integral part of our Breast Cancer Early Detection Programme is the community medical outreach. Through this, we are able to take free breast cancer screening to women in their local communities.
On Thursday, 8th of February 2018 at the Somolu Local Government Secretariat, we had a free breast screening outreach for women of Somolu community.
The screening exercise was preceded by a market sensitization drive on Wednesday, 7th of February 2018.
246 women were screened and over 1000 persons were educated about cancer over a 2 day period.
Beneficiaries received wellness checks, clinical breast exams and women aged 40 and above were given free mammogram vouchers.
This community outreach is in partnership with ACT Foundation and supported by Access Bank.
