Friday, 13th April 2018 marked a major milestone for cancer control in Nigeria. It was the formal launch of the National Cancer Control Plan (2018 - 2022) by the Federal Ministry of Health in Abuja.
It was the culmination of months of tireless work by stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and expertise in cancer control and prevention.
The Priority areas of action of the National Cancer Control Plan include;

Diagnosis and Treatment
Hospice and Palliative Care
Advocacy and Social Mobilisation
Supply Chain Management (Logistics)
Data Management and Research
Government and Finance
We applaud all the stakeholders who worked together to bring this to fruition. We look forward to working together to see its implementation and achieve the reduction of the cancer of the cancer burden in Nigeria.
