An integral part of our Breast Cancer Early Detection Programme is the Community health outreach. Through this, we are able to take free Breast Cancer screening to women.
On Friday, 8th of February 2019 at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi - Araba, we had a free Breast screening outreach for women of the community.
This was to commemorate the 2019 World Cancer Day. A total of 220 women were screened for Breast cancer. Beneficiaries received Wellness checks, Clinical Breast Examinations and women aged 40 and above were given free Mammogram vouchers.
This community outreach was in collaboration with the Department of Oncology & Radiotherapy of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) and the Association of Radiation and Clinical Oncologists of Nigeria (ARCON) and it was supported by Oak Foundation, Switzerland.
