Official photos from our #CervicalCancerConference2019 which took place last Wednesday in Lagos. Despite being a potentially preventable disease, Cervical Cancer remains, for several reasons, one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in Nigeria. To address this, we put together the 1st edition of the Cervical Cancer Conference 2019 with the theme "Towards Better Prevention and Detection of Cervical Cancer" Supported by the University College London Global Funding Programme, the conference featured presenters from University College London Hospital, UK and leading institutions in Nigeria to establish best practice with Gynaecologists and Pathologists in the prevention of Cervical Cancer In attendance were Gynecologists, Pathologists, Clinical and Academic processionals, Nurses, heads of leading diagnostic centres and the general public. Local partners included the Dept of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Society for Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON) and Gynaecological Oncology Society of Nigeria (GOSON)
