Although October is designated as the global month for Breast Cancer Awareness, the reality is, breast cancer happens every day. Every 50 seconds, somewhere in the world, a woman dies from breast cancer.
In 2020, there were an estimated 684,996 deaths from breast cancer. A disproportionate number of these deaths occur in low-resource settings.
Since 2017, CancerAware has designated the month of October to primarily raise funds for low income and indigent women facing a breast cancer diagnosis who are unable to afford the cost of their treatment. We tagged this project the #31DaysOfPINK Breast Cancer Campaign.
The funds raised from the campaign go towards chemotherapy, surgery, medications, diagnostic tests and welfare of the beneficiaries.
Below is our impact and the breakdown of the treatment and support we provided from the October 2021 campaign. Thank you to everyone who supported us.

Thank you for being there for our beneficiaries as they faced one of the most challenging situations anyone can go through - a cancer diagnosiUnfortunately, we lost 5 patients who benefitted from the 2021 project. May their souls rest in peace.
We have embarked on the 6th edition of the #31DaysOfPINK Breast Cancer Campaign and we are hoping to support even more beneficiaries than last year. We hope you will join us again as we fundraise to help more women facing breast cancer.
We encourage you to consider making a donation and make a difference in the life of a woman facing breast cancer.
