Eligibility

Individuals who are eligible for the CancerAware Patient Navigation Service must fulfill the following criteria.

  1. Have a diagnosis of cancer confirmed by an oncologist.

  2. Be resident in Nigeria and aged 18 years and above.

Our Patient Navigation Service offers a variety of solutions including:

  1. Appointment scheduling: We can help you schedule appointments, tests and follow up with results if you are receiving care at one of our designated treatment centers across the country.

  2. Second opinion consultation: Gain confidence in your care with a second opinion consultation, optimise your treatment choices and confirm your diagnosis to support your existing medical advice.

  3. Referral to diagnostic and treatment centers: We can assist in arranging necessary investigations and tests prior to the commencement of treatment. We can also recommend cancer treatment centers where you can access the care you need.

  4. Psycho-Oncology consultation: Our service provides emotional support throughout your treatment journey with access to psychologists and counselors to help you cope with the emotional impact of the condition.

  5. Discounted Cancer Treatment Medications: Through this service, you may be able to access chemotherapy medications at a subsidised rate.

  6. Designated Patient Navigator: You will be assigned a Patient Navigator who will act as a liaison between you and the healthcare system, coordinating your care among various healthcare providers and assisting you in accessing the care you require.
